The main scientific objective of research activities taking place on the Center of Neurocognitive and Neurophysiological Investigations is to understand how the human brain selects, integrates, and memorizes sensitive information. To this end, many techniques for measuring physiological and electrophysiological markers of central and peripheral nervous system activity are used.
A large part of the research conducted on the platforme deals with mechanisms of normal and pathological aging. Investigations are conducted by the means of neuropsychological assessments and electrophysiological recordings (electroencephalography ) of cerebral activities
The Platform’s lead researchers each have more than 15 years of expertise in the study of behavioral and physiological variations during driving. These studies are conducted using a dynamic driving simulator that is one of the most realistic in Europe.
